The Crystal Ball

The Crystal Ball

Since 2005, THG has worked with Kemper Freeman, Chairman and CEO of the Kemper Development Company (KDC), a third-generation family-owned Bellevue, WA company.

Currently the focus is on the Collection’s Lincoln Square expansion and the renovation of the former 200,000 square foot J.C. Penney’s location that had anchored the southern end of the mall.

The expansion of the Bellevue Collection will add two hotels with a combined 500 rooms, 550 luxury apartments, 700,000 square feet of office space, 350,000 square feet of retail and restaurants, and another 3,500 parking spots. All told it will take three-and-a-half years to complete.

To communicate the vision for a project this large requires extraordinary measures. So The Studio, located on the second floor of Lincoln Square, integrates highly interactive technology with a human touch to allow visitors to accurately visualize how the project will appear once complete. The Studio is a dramatic example of purpose-driven theater. The purpose? To engage prospective apartment renters, office-users and retail tenants in the future story of The Collection and have them sign leases in advance of completion so the project opens already filled. The Studio was created by The Voyager Group located in Laguna Beach, California.
