Given Schweitzer’s relative proximity to the Puget Sound area, our strategy included building brand awareness to stimulate visitation from that particular geography. As part of the strategy we built the hotel to ensure visitors would have an on mountain, high end hospitality experience. We knew that the majority of prospective real estate buyers would be people who had visited the resort numerous times and formed a connection to the mountain.
Having a quality hotel, with commensurate dining and service, was a critical part of the guest experience that would lead people to fall in love with Schweitzer, so much so that they’d consider making a longer term commitment to the people and place that make the Schweitzer community unique.
